Do you remember Halloween 2003?
And those plastic skeletons hung from the tree
And oh how they scared the little ones
The simples ones
Wasn't that fun
Well I took those bones down to the riverside
And put 'em in some lawn chairs where they would reside
And sink way on down below the stream
A perfect scheme
Just like a dream
Well I got a call
From the local sheriff
Just an hour ago
And he spoke of
An investigation of suspicious bones
And they had my DNA
What was I supposed to say?
During the investigation I just froze
All I had to say was that were fake bones
But oh how that bad cop frightened me
And in spite of me
Eventually, I confessed
Now I'm locked up
I'll never pull another prank on you again
I might as well
Be a sack of bones here in my pig pen
And what I've learned is not to fold
Like a lawn chair when you're told
So take it from me
Never put your fake bones in a sacred place or face reality
